Camp series 3.

Hello bloggers, 3 weeks  ago our class Rimu went on a school camp to Arthurs pass. I am going to tell you about the walk up Bealey Spur. I think that it is fun because it was very long,steep and tiring. Although the time to walk up Bealey Spur gave people the chance to talk to each other, people were moaning because they were tired. I was very tired by the time we got to the finish but I was pleased I had done the walk. Have you ever done a lone walk like Bealey Spur? Have you ever been to school camp? Student Summit.

Hello bloggers. Today my class took place on the Student Summit 2020. Normally you would go in person but due to covid we had to do it online and it was the first time online.  There were four sessions that for 20 minutes. I did Stop motion, Scratch, Unscreen and remove Bg,and Biteable. This is a Biteable I made. My experience was that I found is fun and exciting. I also found that it took to long.

Hello bloggers. We are about to start our learning on speeches in Rimu. When I heard this I was happy. Before we get into the learning and creating, we had a task to do to train our brain. In order to set up our mind for speeches, we used the six tools in the mental toughness toolkit to create a motivational drawing of ourselves. We used google drawings and  and my DLO is below- a visualisation of me during my speeches learning. My dream for how it will all go. Storytime with Max.

Hello bloggers. I am going to tell you a story.  It is about a sinking Oil tanker. 

Once upon a time there was an Oil Tanker. It was called The Unsinkable. On its maiden voyage the captain drove away from the dock. Meanwhile one of the officers found a damaged bedroom. The Oil Tanker hit some rocks, causing it to sink. The Captain orders an evacuation of the Unsinkable. One of the Officers landed on the ground on his  face. Meanwhile the oil exploded,causing the Unsinkable to sink faster. One of the crewmembers lands on his buttocks and drowns. Meanwhile, the captain sacrifices himself to the blaze so that the remaining  people on board could survive. The Oil tanker finally sinks while many people are watching movies. In the aftermath, one of the survivors sends his son off to school at Yaldhurst Model School. While there, he talks to the principal. The end.

Stranger Danger.

Hello bloggers. Today we learnt about Stranger  danger. It means if you meet an anonymous person who says that you have to go with them don't listen to them but tell your parents that you were approached as soon as you have the chance. It is important to warn people so if it is an escaped criminal then the police can arrest them. If you see someone hanging around schools  or playgrounds this needs to be reported.  This  was discussed in class today because there is a man in Christchurch pretending to have lost his dog. He approaches young girls at school and asks them to come and help him find his dog. So if you see a person acting suspiciously then you need to report it. It is also important to keep yourself safe by never going with someone you or your parents don't know.  Have you ever been approached by a stranger?

My USSR book

Hello bloggers. At school this term I am reading Save The White Whale for USSR. It is a book about a mouse who goes on holiday with his nephew, friend, and his friends niece and has a horrible holiday and finds a beached whale and saves the whale in time. I think that the book is very good because I like the Geronimo Stilton books. It is just over 100 pages long. Have you ever read this book?

Are you typical or neurotypical? Our class is reading an amazing book called Anything but Typical. It is about a boy called Jason and he is neurotypical. What is neurotypical you might ask? Neurotypical is when your reactions are different actions from typical actions. When Jason gets nervous he starts flapping his hands👏,when the class sees him doing it they think it is different.

Being neurotypical for Jason is hard because he feels like he is not like the rest of his family. This makes him feel like he is on his own. 😭

PALS Pandemonium.

Hello bloggers, Yesterday on Thursday,27 Feb 2020 I went to PALS. It was fun. First we drove to school. Then we waited to go to Linclim even t centre at 9.30. At 10.00 PALS started! We played games insdie and outside. Inside we played evoulution, a game where start of as caterpillas and you try to evolve into a T-Rex,I got to a butterfly.
